New Year, New Self Care Goals



2021 has come and gone and while it doesn’t really seem like a new year, 2022 has arrived. So it’s time to set new goals and new dreams. Well if you know me or anything about me you know how important Self Care is to me.

I started this journey because between kids, marriage, and life I lost ME! I was doing everything for everyone and giving myself the leftovers. Finally one day I said “Bump this! I deserve to give to myself first because no one else is doing it!”

So that’s exactly what I did. I start putting myself first and guess what?!?!?!……..


Everything else started falling into place. That’s when I knew I was onto something that I needed to make happen no matter what.

For the last 2 years or so self care not only became something I do for myself, but it is a priority that is non negotiable like bathing and eating. I set self care goals for myself so that I can keep in touch with myself.

This year I have 3 main Self Care goals that I have set for myself. These are goals that I want to make happen for myself no matter what.

✈️ Traveling!!!!! I love to travel! I recently started traveling with the kids so I am planning at least 1 trip per quarter and 1 of those trips will be solely for myself. I’m thinking San Antonio, Destin, Disneyland, and Jamaica.

🥗 🏋🏾‍♀️ Healthy Habits!!!!! This is always a goal that I pick up and put down. Exercising and healthy eating is important to me because when I began watching what I eat and moving my body I felt so much better in all other areas in my life. This is usually a hard goal for me to be consistent with because I get so busy doing so many other things that I push it to the back burner. 2022 I am committing to do better.

🔌 Unplugging!!!! Living in this social media crazed world will have you feeling like you are behind in life or you ain’t living life the right way. It becomes overbearing with negative news and everyone’s opinion about everything. It becomes A LOT!!! So this year i am internationally unplugging from social media at least 1 day/week. It’s important to be present in the moment. After all we only have this current moment.

Creating these Self Care goals not only allows me to achieve my dreams, but they are all things that will help me stay sane and be the best version of myself.
